AI isn’t as neutral as we think. Today’s research lab showed how deeply human biases are embedded in AI systems. It made me reflect on my own experiences as a Black woman navigating spaces not built for me. If we want technology to be fair and just, we need diverse voices shaping its future.

  1. This is a wonderful point to bring up, connecting AI to our lively experiences in the real world. The biases that are shown and created in the form of AI reflect the trauma and experiences that black men and women face regularly. It reflects the way the world views us individuals. I love the idea of saying that we need diverse voices to shape our future. Ai has begun to get away from the action of “tokenism” and show more diversity, especially in creative image generation, but hopefully, in the future, it will become better by showing more diversity in its programming.
