Hey Gabrielle! I think you made a good point, disclosure is really important across all areas of study, and professions. I think everyone is still practicing how to properly give credit to AI use, including myself.
I enjoy the point you make here. Let’s use it ethically! Many people try to use it more as “something to lean on”, instead of an aid that can help you. Using AI in the right way, such as brainstorming, is a good way to use AI. Using AI in a way where it does all the work and takes away the point of human creativity is an unethical way of the utilization of artificial intelligence. I agree that AI may never leave; it will stay, so we might as well all learn how to conduct ourselves with AI and how to use it ethically and responsibly.
